[ + ] Do I need a lift ticket when I take a lesson?

A: Yes. Everybody, no matter their age, requires a lift ticket to ride any lift, even when in a lesson.

[ + ] Do I need to book ahead?

A: Yes, our programs are very popular. To avoid disappointment we recommend booking in advance to ensure your space.

[ + ] What if it snows, will the lessons be cancelled?

A: No, the lessons run daily and are not cancelled due to bad conditions.

Can snowplough both ways on easy green runs. Can stand on board and slide from side to side down an easy green run.

Intermediate
Able to link turns with skis beginning to match at the bottom of the turn. Skiing mainly on Green and some easy blue-red runs. Linking basic turns on green and easy blue-red runs.

Experienced Intermediate
Matching skis on most blue-red runs. Looking to take on steeper groomed black terrain. Can link turns on all blue-red runs and begin to tackle black, groomed terrain. Beginning to carve turns.

Advanced
Black run skier looking to pick up some tips on the steep groomers or in the off piste areas. Carving confidently on all groomed runs. Looking at off piste riding.

Confidently skiing all conditions, all terrain and looking for powder or more challenges. Confidently riding all conditions, all terrain and looking for powder or more challenges.

[ + ] Can I request a certain instructor?

A: Yes, we do offer requests for private lessons. You can request an instructor for group lessons, but due to class size restrictions and scheduling we cannot guarantee it.

[ + ] What size are the group lessons?

A: Our maximum for group lessons is 9, although the average group size is 5.

[ + ] What time do I need to show up for private and group lessons?

A: We recommend 15 minutes for group lessons. For private lessons please be at the meeting point at least 5 minutes before scheduled lesson time.

[ + ] Do you offer powder lessons?

A: Yes we do, in a private lesson format.

[ + ] How do I book lessons?

A: You can email NBS directly to request lesson information and bookings at info@nisekobase.com. You can also call us at +81 136 21 5050. We do need to take payment at time of booking so please have your credit card ready.

[ + ] How many lessons should I take?

A: There is no set number. It depends on individuals and whether you are looking to join a fun group and enjoy the social aspect or would like some more technical information.

[ + ] How many instructors do you have?

A: We currently have 40 instructors.

[ + ] I had an instructor last year but can't remember his/her name?

A: We have a photo board on our website, to see our current staff please check the Team page.

[ + ] We are traveling a long distance. Can we hire ski clothes instead of bringing our own?

A: Yes, we do rent outerwear at NBS rental. Please email us for information and sizes, info@nisekobase.com.

[ + ] What kind of training do your instructors have?

A: Our instructors are the most highly trained form around the world. They are trained on a weekly basis by our top pros.

[ + ] Do you offer any specials?

A: We do have special deals that run throughout the winter. Check inside the NBS office or SkiJapan office for more information on our special deals.

[ + ] What temperatures can we expect?

A: Our average temperature is -5°C, although it can get down to -20°C.

[ + ] Do I get the same instructor for all my lessons?

A: Only guaranteed for privates lessons.

[ + ] Can I take a lesson with my child?

A: Yes, in a private lesson you can have whoever you like. Different ages and abilities, you get to use your time how you choose.
